THE SHOT

Kevin and I are often caught goofing around on the job. I'm admitting this only because it is the best kind of goofing around I can imagine. Sometimes, when we're waiting around for someone to get to the location or change their outfit, Kevin will say, "Photo challenge!" and we compete to get the best shot of something mundane around us. This week, we had an early morning headshot session downtown. While we were waiting for a wardrobe change, Kevin announced that the photo challenge would be to photograph our own shoes. Between fits of giggles over Kevin's shoe-related comments (ex: "Your shoes look like lovers."), I got this shot:

I don't know if I won the photo challenge, but this one jumped out at me. Plus, it reminded me of my days at Starbucks as a barista... (I used to wear those beat-up Chucks.) I'm not really remembering those days fondly (nasty customers and all that), but I do kind of miss the regulars that came in every morning. I still hold firmly to my belief that every single person should be forced to work in food service for at least a year. (Most people need a taste of their own medicine!)

FOOD SERVICE should be mandatory. Cailyn. YOU ROCK!

I don't need to see any other photos, you won.

Take that, Kevin! I won! :) (Thanks, Sheila!)

Allie, I think that pretending to be a waitress worked in your favor. Also, Chris would keep you in line if you started to be rude to anyone in food service.

so far i've managed to avoid food service but greg and i have often said that we firmly believe everyone should be required to work retail for at least a year in their young lives for the exact same reason!!!
